The Mission: Education Across the Board
On June 1, 2026, two cyclists - Alessandro Tazartes and Luis Sáenz Pombo, graduates of UWC Atlantic College Class of ‘25, will leave Reykjavik to ride Iceland's full Ring Road: 1,332 kilometres in 18 days, linking all 18 UWC schools across five continents in one live, global journey. Their goal is to raise four UWC scholarships to provide four young people, an Icelandic student and three students whose lives have been affected by war, with a UWC education that would otherwise be out of reach.

National Comitee
United World Colleges (UWC) is a global network of 18 schools across five continents that has brought young people from 150+ nations together for over 60 years.
At UWC young people become systems‑thinkers, bridge‑builders and are educated to overcome barriers and promote dialogue and social progress in their communities. To change what is possible.
Our journey through Iceland serves more than one purpose: we aim to establish momentum to create the first UWC National Committee, creating a lasting bridge for future Icelandic students.
